UPDATE 3/13/2020:

In the interest of the public health and safety of our community, King Avenue Church has made the decision to suspend in-person worship services, small groups, and non-essential activities effective immediately – at least through April 4, 2020. This decision was made prayerfully and with great consideration to continue to align with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and Governor DeWine to reduce the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Miscast Cabaret auditions are canceled for Sunday, March 15 and Monday, March, 16. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page & website for information about future productions.

ABOUT
Actors singing actresses’ showstoppers, young women filling old men’s roles and seniors playing ingénues. You don't want to miss your chance to be part of this evening of madcap musical magic. Join us for a hilarious mix-up of performers singing songs from roles in which they would NEVER be cast.

AUDITIONS
Cancelled

Light-hearted/humorous songs as well as duets, trios and group numbers are strongly encouraged. Those auditioning will be asked to perform the song they would like to sing in the MISCAST CABARET. Songs should be from any Broadway musical. An accompanist will be provided.

Those cast in the MISCAST CABARET may be asked to learn and participate in a group number. They may also be asked to learn individual solos and/or duets. While music will be reviewed in rehearsal, participants are responsible for learning their own music.

REHEARSALS - Cancelled
Rehearsals will be 6:30-9pm (unless otherwise noted) at King Ave Church on the following days:
Monday, April 13 - Group numbers
Tuesday, April 14 - Group numbers
Monday, April 20 - Group numbers for half of rehearsal
Tuesday, April 21 - Group numbers for half of rehearsal

Tuesday, April 28
Monday, May 4
Tuesday, May 5 - HOLD (if add'l rehearsal is needed)
Friday, May 8 - Dress rehearsal, time TBD

It is likely that participants won't have to be at every rehearsal for the entire time. After auditions a detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed.

This is non-equity and unpaid.

MISCAST CABARET will be directed by Lisa Minken and Barb Shoulders. For any questions about auditions, please contact Lisa Minken at lisaminken@gmail.com.
